A majority of candidates, both Democrat and Republican, have confirmed their participation.  Come here from these candidates as MCMC conducts this candidates forum on behalf of our community. NOTE:  The deadline to register to vote, update your mailing address, or change your party affiliation for the upcoming Maryland Primary election is April 23.  Please also note that the Maryland Primary election is scheduled for May 14.  You may vote by mail, early voting (May 2 – May 9), or on May 14. On March 27, 2024, Montgomery County Muslim Council (MCMC) will be co-hosting an annual Iftar event in collaboration with Montgomery County Muslim Foundation. The iftar event is sponsored by the Montgomery County Chief Executive Mr. Marc Elrich.

Meetings were organized in person and on zoom with Senator Chris Van Hollen, Senator Ben Cardin and Representative John Sarbanes. Attending from our community were members of various Muslim Councils as well as representative of the Palestinian American community.
